"Cutty Shack" is the perfect fishing retreat. It is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath home built by our family in 1969. The Cutty Shack will sleep 6-7. This large stilt home (all living area is upstairs) is situated directly over the Kissimmee River and right next door to Camp Mack River Resort. You and your group can enjoy peaceful evenings in the house, or walk next door to grab a drink and watch a "weigh-in". Life on the Kissimmee River is very peaceful. On some weekends and holidays, Camp Mack may have concerts and fishing tournaments, making the scene more lively. Lake Kissimmee State Park is less than one mile away and is a great place for picnics or hikes. If you have a large group, the Cutty Shack is so close to Camp Mack that additional members of your party can stay there and still be within walking distance. Additional information: Parking for pick-up trucks and trailers is available on the property. Camp Mack amenities include Boat ramp ($6), camp store, ATM, fishing licenses, bait, and tackle. If you are looking for new, modern and fancy, you may want to look closer to Orlando or check out the Hampton Inn in Lake Wales. Our house maybe just 20 minutes from downtown Lake Wales, but it's a world away. Bring your bass boat! We have a boat slip under the house that is included in the rental. Of course there is a washer and dryer, a range, a microwave, a dishwasher and a refrigerator equipped with a controllable ice maker. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and it’s own bathroom. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and a separate bathroom. Both bedrooms have cable T.V. In the living room you will find a couch and a love seat , a 43" Smart T.V. and a DVD/CD player. Cable is included as well as free Wifi. For your convenience, stacked washer and dryer with complimentary liquid soap to do a couple of loads until you go grocery shopping. Same thing with dishwasher pods and paper products. There are several Central Florida golf courses nearby with reasonable fees. Lake Marion Resort is a quiet community with two swimming pools, tennis courts, and basketball. The main pool and clubhouse are open until 10:00 pm at night, perfect for after a day out at Disney. The children's bedroom has toys, movies and books for little ones. There is a large screened lanai at the rear for enjoying meals outside, or to sit in the shade and read a book. We are snowbirds who live in this home all winter, so it is fully equipped with three televisions, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, mixer, blender, keurig coffee maker, netflix, everything you would want.
